Certification requirements
The main prerequisites for taking the PMP exam are:
- A four-year university degree (or the global equivalent)
- 36 months of experience leading projects within the past eight years
- 35 hours of project management education/training or CAPM® certification
OR
- High School Diploma or Associates Degree
- 60 months of experience leading projects within the past eight years
- 35 hours of project management education/training or CAPM® certification
